Bridgend College: Information for Higher Education Students

Higher Education HNCs, HNDs, Degrees & more...

Each year, over 1000 students choose to study a Higher Education course with Bridgend College.  Our courses are validated by a range of Universities including the University of Glamorgan, the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff and the University of Wales, Newport and also by professional associations including the CIM, ILEX and AAT.

We have a wide range of courses on offer, so whether it's a full-time or part-time HNC, HND, Foundation Degree, Undergraduate Degree or Masters, we're confident that you'll find a course to suit your career aspirations, subject interest or individual study requirements.

The University Provision on your Doorstep

People have different reasons for choosing to stay near home and study locally.  For some it may be due to work or family commitments, for others it may just make great economic sense.  Here are some of the reasons why our students choose Bridgend:

  • 90% of our students study in Grade 1 or Grade 2 departments
  • Reduced travel time and transport costs
  • Live at home and save accommodation fees
  • Courses are taught in small, personal groups
  • Scholarships are available

To download an application form please click here: http://www.bridgend.ac.uk/assets/Uploads/Documents/Students/Application-Form-26-01-10.pdf

or alternatively please contact the HE team or call into reception.

Once your application has been received it will be sent to the relevant department for consideration and you will be invited to attend an interview.

As a result, if it is felt that you are suitable for the course you will either be made an unconditional offer (you meet the entry requirements) or a conditional offer (based on obtaining certain qualifications).  You should normally expect to receive details of your offer from Bridgend College within 15 working days of your interview.
