Are you interested in a career as a Performer, Arts Technician or Arts Community Development Officer then you've come to the right place. In the Bridgend College bvillage Theatre you can find out information on courses in Performing Arts and chat to other people who you may be studying with in September.

The Performing Arts department offers a wide range of courses in:

• Musical Theatre
• Performance

Performing Arts students at Bridgend College benefit from superb, purpose built facilities including a Theatre, dance studio, music studios and music technology suites. This is all designed to make your teaching environment as realistic as possible in preparation for a career in the Performing Arts industry.

A new Multi-purpose Lecture Theatre/Performance Hall is also currently being developed on the Bridgend Campus.

Students will be involved in a wide range of performances throughout the academic year ranging from a Christmas pantomime to musicals to plays to showcase performances during corporate events such as the College's Annual Awards Ceremony.

Recent shows have included Disco Inferno, Vinegar Tom, Mother Goose, The Vagina Monologues, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This is along with a number of smaller events such as taking part in a mock trial for Crime Week, Battle of the Bands during the College's RAG Week and performing at the College's corporate events including Annual Awards Evening and Higher Education Ceremony.

Recently awarded a Grade 1 in their Estyn Inspection, the department has highly qualified, industry experienced staff, with 80% of them currently working professionally in the industry. This ensures that they bring first hand, up to date knowledge to their teaching and can pass on invaluable advice and support to their students.
