Privacy & Security

• Users must be aged 16 years or above.  If a user is found to be below this age they will be informed that they need to leave the Village or be removed.
• Users are personally responsible for any information that they place or post on to the site.
• Users are responsible for the security of their password.  This information should not be made known to any other user.
• The settings selected by you 'the user'will control the information that other users can see on your profile.  As a pre-set all check boxes for 'Do not display on my profile' are selected, ensuring the highest level of privacy.  However you can customise your profile to suit the level of privacy required
• The B Village will not store or capture personal data without the prior knowledge and consent of its users.  In the event that you are asked to provide personal information to the site, you may be asked whether you wish to receive any further communication from Bridgend College.  The College will ensure all personal data that is supplied is held as securely as possible, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
• All personal information provided will be solely used by Bridgend College, and at no time will any information be passed to external third parties.
• If at anytime you wish to leave the Village, users can delete their avatar.  All information will be removed from the site and will not be retained by the College.

Content

• Any offensive or abusive language/comments will be removed by the administrator.  Repeated use will result in the user being removed from the site.
• Any comments that bring Bridgend College or its staff into disrepute, are deemed inappropriate or are abusive to staff or students of the College will be removed.
• Users are able to personally remove, ignore users or report any comments to the administrator.
• If content is reported to the administrator by a user, the appropriate course of action will be taken.  This will either involve removing the content from the site, blocking the reported user from a specific area or blocking the reported user from the actual site.
• The administrator reserves the right to remove any user from the B Village.

Prize Draw

• The prize winner(s) for the Netbook will be drawn randomly on the 30th September 2011 and contacted by Bridgend College.  Only the winner will be contacted personally.
• Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred.
• There will be no cash alternatives.
• Users must comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize.  No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
• This competition is not open to employees or contractors of Bridgend College, or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the competition, or their direct family members.
• Bridgend College's decision is final.
• Bridgend College reserve the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary and if circumstances arise outside of their control.
• Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.
